yup sounds like the mobo,my boys pc went down when the pci-e slot gave up on him,everything spins up no beeps etc.avoid asrock boards they seems to have a common fault with the pci-e slot (thats amd boards anyway)he has gone through 3 of them with the same problem and all different models
